The surfing time bonuses depend on the number of barpoints you make: the more barpoints you make, the bigger bonus you get. Here is how the surfing bonus system works (points from referrals are not included):

You make barpoints:	We give you bonus points:
2,000-4,999 barpoints	1,000 points
5,000-9,999 barpoints	2,000 points
10,000-19,999 barpoints	4,000 points
20,000-29,999 barpoints	6,000 points
More than 30,000 barpoints	7,000 points
